Tareyn Johnson
Tareyn Johnson is a member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island and currently lives and works in Barrie. She is the Indigenization Coordinator at Georgian College, as well as faculty in Indigenous Studies. Tareyn has also held positions at Lakehead University, most recently writing their upcoming Indigenous Leadership Program over the past summer. Tareyn is a graduate of York University, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Literature and has since worked in the field of Indigenous Education. She is actively working to learn Anishnaabemowin and works diligently to introduce Indigenous content into post-secondary academia.
