Discussion Group: How to Start Writing Your Memoir
This event is offered Livestream only
March 21, 2023 10:00 am – 11:00 am
As anyone who has written a memoir knows, actually starting to write it is one of the hardest parts. This online TAB discussion will address this challenge in several ways. We will learn about the experiences of two successful memoir writers, Barbara Marshall and Clay Lafleur. From a less personal, more literary perspective, Tom Gerry will explain various forms of self-writing so that participants are clear about exactly what type of self-writing they want to undertake. Participants in the session will share their ideas about writing a memoir—where they are with the project and where they want to go with it. Finally, these ideas will be shared with the whole group. In the end, we hope, participants will be better prepared to embark on their own self-writing journeys.
There is no cost to register, but numbers are limited to 10.
